Atheists, Why the Anger?

ok, so you deny the existence of a god, or you lack belief in a god.

my question why do you get so angry over a mythical being?

no one gets as upset over the tooth fairy, santa claus or the easter bunny, as i have seen some of the atheists on this board get over the slightest mention of god.

Thanks Abaddon for straitening out a few things on this topic, there has been too much vindictive toque slashing and not enough intellectual debate

I suppose this is a sensitive issue with some people and it's putting people off the rails

i just want to say that i used to be judgemental of athiests, but as a jw backer everyone on here finds nothing but wrong doing with the orginizations.

well i am sure i can find wrong doing with other churches and their teachings as well.

My unfortunate jw sister is divorced with three grow children, she knows that she can only date a jw man, so she's really having a hard time finding a suitable partner.

She's been asked out many times at work, but she declines due to the religious thing.

Moral and upright but substandard

i recall how the fds was castigating those that didn't do any field service making them out to be spiritually dead though otherwise they may well be very moral and responsible people.

and the intimidation that those who do not support the kingdom ie do not preach will be punished by the angels during the time of the end.

they have hidden the money their master gave them, they are lazy and worthless slaves deseving of punishment.

How do you see the world heading if all religion was eliminated?

hypothetically, if all religion was eliminated and all people stopped believing how would you see the world in a few years?

with atheism on the rise do you think that society will improve or deteriorate?.

I'm an atheist and I don't hold any anger toward believers, not personally or in this forum. I have read some of the postings and comments here and I'm seeing that people

can get a little testy with one another, thats to be expected given this emotionally sensitive subject. Perhaps though it's a good thing for people to express themselves and to vent their

personal opinions, this forum just gives people that opportunity. Just comment respectively.

The reason that most people turn to Atheism is that gods were first formed and formulated on human ignorance, there is plenty of proof of that in are history.

There has been a evolution of knowledge that has been brought forward over time through scientific discovery.

It's true that scientists do not have the answers to all things, and the honest ones will actually admit that, but perhaps over time the evolution of science and knowledge will reveal more of

the mystery of life......religion reveals nothing but ignorance as it should since it is very old.

My brother and myself used to hang out with Brain Adams before he got famous, a friend that used to be in are band is now actually Brains guitar technician for when he goes on the road

and also helps Brain in the studio
